Call for Papers is Broken!

We built PaperCrowd to fix the Call for Papers problem. Every chair who runs an academic conference emails a Call for Papers to promote the conference. The chair gathers a ton of email addresses from faculty, committee members, previous attendees etc into a single list and sends a mass email. This has 2 major flaws:

• Researcher’s inboxes are flooded with unsolicited emails for conferences they are not interested in. (e.g. we know one chair who sent over 28,000 emails and got just 120 abstracts)
• The bloated list is limited to “known” researchers and doesn’t include any new researchers who may wish to attend.

PaperCrowd fixes the problem in 2 ways:

• Researchers use PaperCrowd to search and follow conferences of interest. They can also follow other researchers and see the conferences they’re attending (coming soon).
• Organisers use PaperCrowd to add & promote your conference to known and new researchers. They can also check their event is not clashing with a similar event at the same time.

PaperCrowd is built with ❤ by the team at Ex Ordo. We started as researchers and have been working with the research community since 2008. Our Ex Ordo online academic conference management system is used in 12 of the Top 20 universities in the world and in over 56 countries.
