No Cradle, No Grave – Circular Economy into Practice
Could waste for one be a raw material for other?
It could, and it is. One of the largest sectors utilizing industrial by-products as raw materials is construction. Industrial by-products from residue sludge, metallurgical slags, incinerator fly ashes, bottom ashes, foundry sand and blasting grit to mine tailings, demolition wastes and contaminated soils are used in construction applications such as fill, roadbase, cement, concrete, ceramic products, and roofing materials.
The 10th International Conference on the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials ISCOWA 2018 will show both the state of the art and the future developments in the field. In addition to fulfilling the most rigorous standards in its academic track, the conference will also showcase hands-on industrial solutions from air to earth.
