The 44th annual conference of the Marketing Educators' Association, the premier marketing educators' association dedicated to advancing the practice and scholarship of marketing education (www.marketingeducators.org), will be held April 2-4, 2020 at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel located in downtown Seattle WA. Conference registration includes a one-year subscription to the Journal of Marketing Education, along with the Thursday President’s reception and awards dinner, Friday lunch, and Friday and Saturday breakfasts.
The emphasis of the 2020 Marketing Educators' Association Conference will be on topics dealing directly with marketing education— current marketing trends (e.g. digital marketing certificates, social media analytics, marketing data analytics, virtual reality in marketing, development of learning styles, alumni relations and fund-raising activities, developing institutes, centers, interest / advisory groups), as well as general marketing education and faculty development issues. In addition, we encourage members to collaborate with practitioners in developing curriculum.
This year’s conference will be comprised of Competitive Papers, Special Sessions and 2-3 page position paper sessions. Panel discussions that incorporate members from the marketing community are encouraged and welcome. Finally, student presentations are encouraged to engage student research outcomes into a presentation or panel. An outstanding paper will be selected from among the accepted competitive submissions. It will be considered for publication in the Journal of Marketing Education, the premier journal in the field of marketing education.
MEA participants at the 2019 Conference in Phoenix enjoyed a friendly atmosphere with colleagues from all across the United States and different countries around the world while engaging in discussions about cutting edge advances and future trends in marketing education and pedagogy. Papers presented at the conference may lead to publication in the Journal of Marketing Education or other similar journals. If you are working on an idea that is not a fully developed paper yet, a 2-3 page position paper would provide you a chance to network with colleagues who have similar interests who can provide feedback on your work in progress. Regardless of whether or not you are submitting a paper, join us to share ideas and participate in discussions with colleagues who care about the practice and scholarship of marketing education.
