Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure to inform you that the Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (PSBMB) will be conducting its 44###sup/sup### Annual Convention on November 27-30, 2017 at the historic Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City, Philippines.

This year’s theme: “Biochemistry and Molecular Biology: From Niche to the Nation” is all about Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as a scientific thread of knowledge core to the mechanism of change in the local setting of the niche, spanning across the nation, the mastery of which drives advances in the frontiers of agro-fisheries, biotechnology, health, and biodiversity.

Among the highlight of the annual convention are the plenary and parallel sessions on Health and Wellness, Agro-fisheries, Environment and Biodiversity, Microbes and Biotechnology, and Biochemical Education. There will be a sub-session that will tap on experts in the academe and industry to deliver lectures and discuss new trends and developments on DNA barcoding. The event also features the Clara Lim-Sylianco (CLS) Lecture and a competition for undergraduate research projects, the Young Scientist’s Forum (YSF). This much-awaited convention will surely be a great venue for researchers, faculty, aspiring young scientists and students to meet, discuss and build collaborations with the experts which will broaden and deepen our current knowledge on the advances in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

The PSBMB is an affiliate of the Federation of Asian and Oceanian Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (FAOBMB) and the International Union of Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (IUBMB). The society has active members from universities, colleges, research and industrial institutions in the country and abroad. Membership to the PSMBM is open to professionals and students in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology and related areas.
