Nowadays, people expect organizations to be accountable for the ethicality of their internal and external processes. The same is true of the environmental and social sustainability problems, which are increasingly important in public debate and in the concerns of individuals and communities. Aims at not only promoting discussions on theoretical models and research empirical results, but also debating policies, strategies, and practices. Issues such as the prevention of misconduct in organizations or the relationship between organizational ethics and the strategies for sustainability will be discussed at specific forums, involving scholars, practitioners and decision makers.
The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the SESRR-2019 Best Paper Award, sponsored by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian
This award aims to distinguish the best original and unpublished academic and research papers presented at the 5th Symposium on Ethics and Social Responsibility Research on issues of ethics, social responsibility and / or sustainability. Papers focusing on intergenerational sustainability, sustainable consumption and production will be specially considered.
The Award will consist of a) a certificate, and b) a cash prize of € 6.000
Submissions types
Two types of submissions are accepted for the SESRR
1) oral
2) poster presentations
Abstracts should have between 2000 and 2500 characters. Both empirical and theoretical proposals are accepted.
All abstracts must be submitted in English through the 5th SESRR website and will be subjected to a double-blind review process by the Scientific Committee. Confirmation of acceptance or rejection will be communicated to the corresponding author by March 15th, 2019.

Consumer responsibility
At least one of the authors of an accepted presentation must register as a participant in the 5th SESRR until April 30th, 2019. Please take into consideration that once a paper is included in the program, the author should present it in the Symposium or officially notify the Organizing Committee of its withdrawal.
Publication opportunities:
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Book of Proceedings with ISBN. Congress book will be available at https://repositorio.iscte-iul....
Papers will be considered for publication in a special issue for the Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal (SAMPJ)(Emerald, IF 2.200, Scopus Q1)..
