Building off the momentum gathered during the nine previous meetings, this year’s vapor intrusion specialty conference will bring together internationally-recognized scientists, engineers, regulators, and attorneys to share research and solutions on the latest developments in the investigation and mitigation of the vapor intrusion (VI) pathway, including indicators and tracers, toxicology, risk assessment, sampling and laboratory analysis, as well as the newly-added topic of emerging contaminants. The conference will be held virtually on September 23-24, 2021.
The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is pleased to announce a call for abstracts for a specialty conference on important technical considerations involving the investigation and mitigation of the vapor intrusion (VI) pathway, including indicators and tracers, toxicology, risk assessment, sampling and laboratory analysis, real estate transactions and risk communication. The conference committee is also seeking abstracts involving air quality issues associated with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), 1,4-dioxane and other emerging contaminants (EC).
Abstracts are being sought which demonstrate innovative scientific approaches to the investigation and mitigation of the vapor intrusion pathway and/or air quality issues associated with emerging contaminants. The following topics are suggested for platform presentations and panel discussions:
Abstracts of 300 words or less must be submitted by March 13, 2020 to vapor@awma.org.
