Humanity and planet earth are increasingly facing many serious social, economic, political, cultural and environmental challenges threatening our very survival. Overcoming such challenges need citizens who are mindful of our interdependencies interconnectedness in belonging to a common humanity and who are active both locally and globally to create a better world and futures based on social justice, human rights, democracy, inclusion, non discrimination, diversity and sustainability.
Proposals for presentation in the Conference Program should be submitted under one of the following categories:
A) Paper: a report on a completed research project on or a critical analysis of a problem or issues relevant to the Conference theme and one or more thematic fields related to Global Citizenship Education (GCED).
B) Symposium: Focusing on a shared theme or topic, a symposium comprises 3 or 4 authors who are allotted 15 minutes each to present on selected dimensions or components of the topic. The presentations are followed by a Q & A and discussion among presenters and delegated after the presentations.
C) Workshop: In a workshop sessions (90 mins), the presenter(s) will engage participating delegates in one or more creative and participatory activities
D) Poster: In this category, each author or co-authors will present the findings or preliminary findings of a research study or a curriculum development project or the components of a teaching and learning activity on a theme or topic relevant to the Conference theme and interrelated fields of transformative education.
Proposals of 200 words or less and abstracts (max 50 words) should be submitted on or before October 1, 2019. Earlier submissions are encouraged. Please use the 0n-line Presentation Proposal Form that can be found at www.wcci-international.org
