During ten days, June 26th - July 6th, comparative psychologists, ethologists, evolutionists, and cognitive neurobiologists who are the world’s leading experts in “mind-reading" other species -- will provide a sweeping panorama of what it feels like to be an elephant, ape, whale, cow, pig, dog, chicken, mouse, fish, lizard, lobster, snail. This growing body of facts about nonhuman sentience has profound implications not only for our understanding of human cognition, but for our treatment of other sentient species.

You are invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation to be displayed at the ISC 2018 Summer School : The other minds problem: animal sentience and cognition. More than 50 renowned researchers will be discussing animal sentience and cognition from multiple perspectives, such as biology, psychology, philosophy, anthropology, linguistics, informatics, veterinary sciences, law, bioethics, neurosciences and neurobiology, ethology and education. Presentations from graduate, postgraduate, and faculty members working on animal sentience and cognition in any of the mentioned perspectives are welcome.
