The theme of the symposium is community-centred research, demonstrating the key role that New Zealand’s institutes of technology and polytechnics (ITPs) play in ensuring that research has a tangible impact and benefits our communities. We will run a single-stream symposium with an associated exhibition, maximising opportunities for networking between researchers, industry and community stakeholders. Relationships: We need each other. Networks: We can help each other. Reciprocities: We can learn from each other. Obligations: We meet our commitments to each other.
We invite submissions from ITP staff and senior students, encouraging presentations that are “outside the box” to showcase our innovative methods of teaching and research. We welcome presentations and artworks from the creative and performing arts. Abstracts must be submitted online by 10 February 2019. Abstracts will be peer reviewed and researchers notified by the end of February 2019 whether they have been accepted.
