The Micronutrient Forum is looking forward to welcoming researchers, program implementers and policy-makers from around the world to its 5th Global Conference 2020 from November 8, in South Africa.
The Micronutrient Forum 5th Global Conference provides the opportunity for sharing new micronutrient research with a diverse audience across 4 focused tracks:
Track 1: Micronutrient biology and status assessment.
Track 2: Efficacy and safety of micronutrient interventions.
Track 3: Program effectiveness.
Track 4: Designing an enabling environment for micronutrients.
The scientific program will build on the rich heritage of our previous global meetings, in presenting the latest on micronutrients from the perspectives of basic and integrative science, as well as efficacy in program implementation and the enabling environment. The conference will also take a deep dive into the complexity of food systems and their interactions with micronutrients, reaching out to new partners and stakeholders to widen our interactions with other vital role players. It will provide a unique opportunity to tackle some of the most complex challenges in micronutrient malnutrition. The program will: identify high-impact research opportunities and gaps; facilitate difficult but necessary conversations; create roadmaps for the way forward; and, translate scientific findings into effective program implementation and evidence-informed policy decisions.
We look forward to welcoming over 1000 delegates from around the world - bringing together individuals from academia, government, multilateral agencies, CSOs, NGO's, and the private sector who can add their strengths to advocacy, collaboration and collective dialogue for a world free from micronutrient malnutrition.
