This conference seeks to bring together specialists who are transforming anthropology, whether from anthropology itself, or from other disciplines through joint work with anthropologists. We are considering four different fields: the anthropology of the senses, the adoption in academia and other spheres of anthropology of methodologies and representation strategies in popular culture, inter-species studies, and the dialogue between anthropology and the arts, including literary fiction. Papers will be presented in English or Spanish.
We invite you to submit a 500 word abstract on your current research mailing it to congresolimites2019@gmail.com no later than September 30. We will let you know during the last week of November 2018 whether your abstract has been accepted. The registration fees for presenters will be paid only by those participants whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation, and can be paid between December 1st and 15.
The topics will be the anthropology of the senses, the adoption in academia and other spheres of anthropology of methodologies and representation strategies in popular culture, inter-species studies, and the dialogue between anthropology and the arts, including literary fiction.
