Now in its sixth year, and attracting speakers from all over the world, Othello's Island is a liberal-minded conference, run on a not-for-profit basis, to present and discover the latest research on the Byzantine, medieval, renaissance and early modern periods.
If you are interested in giving a talk at the conference please submit a proposal (abstract) for a paper. Standard papers are 20 minutes long, followed by 5 or 10 minutes for questions.
All papers must be delivered in English and in person by the author of the paper. We cannot accommodate speakers wishing to present using Skype (or similar), or proxy presentations. However, we welcome suggestions for non-standard presentations, so do ask if you have ideas that do not fit into the prescribed format.
Initial abstracts should be not more than 300 words in length, and must be written in English. They can be submitted any of the following formats: PDF, Microsoft Word (Doc or Docx), Open Office or Apple Pages. They should be sent to info@othellosisland.org not later than 31 December 2018
