Advance melting techniques like Secondary Steel Making play an important role in this direction. Quality of rolling mill products depend to a large extend on quality of continuously cast steel. Minor non metallic inclusion may cause surface defects on rolled sheet after undergoing rolling deformation. Inclusion and gas content in cast steel to be controlled before they are sent to Tundish of CCM.
