The British Association for American Studies is hosting its 64th Annual Conference at the University of Sussex, Brighton, UK. The convention is the largest meeting of its type outside of North America, bringing together researchers from across a wide range of disciplines. Our two themes this year are inspired by our location: 1) Activist Thought, inspired by the legacy of Thomas Paine in Lewes. 2) LGBTQ+ History, marking the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, and reflecting Brighton's diverse history. Panels and individual papers on these themes, or any others relating to American Studies, are highly welcome! Come along
