The 8th International Conference ‘Europe Inside-Out: Europe and Europeanness Exposed to Plural Observers’ 28 – 30 September 2018, Lucca, Italy CALL FOR PANELS AND PAPERS DEADLINE FOR PAPER PROPOSALS: 15th of July 2018

The Conference on Islamic Heritage Architecture and Art started in Valencia, Spain (2016) and, following its success, it is now being reconvened. The second meeting is to take place in Malta from 17th to 19th April 2018. The Conference aims to highlight the importance of Islamic Heritage Architecture and Art to the world and its influence across different regions. The Meeting will be of interest to all researchers, practitioners and government employees actively involved in the topic of Islamic Heritage Architecture and Art.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Akademika Nusa Internasional (Association of Social Sciences and Humanities). The theme of the conference is emerging social changes that result from new social dynamics. We invite academicians and scholars from all the relevant disciplines to submit their papers and ongoing research findings to this stimulating and exciting conference.

GISSF Research Wing announce the international conference on “Challenges in Social Science Research”. This forum is established to discuss the issues of multidisciplinary field collaboration with business and economics emerging trends. We invite the scholars /scientists / engineers/ researchers / practitioners / students to join with us and share the new innovative trends in their respective field. This common platform is expected to provide the bases for joint venture among different fields to serve the society in a better way.

The International Conference aims to discuss topics and methods in architectural research, focusing on their cross-disciplinary interrelations and their relevance to the design process itself. We are interested to see approaches to the development of a research culture in architecture. This conference will identify research topics and methods, encourages a research discourse and provides impulses especially for young researchers. The cross-disciplinary interrelations will be debated through invited keynote lectures, as well as presentations of papers and posters. The invited experts from academia and practice will showcase pioneering projects and developments from various fields of architectural research.

In its material, cultural, and economic effects, architecture poses essential and unavoidable ethical quandaries and challenges. In its performative capacity to express ideology, architecture is inexorably entangled in questions of power and legitimation. As part of an interconnected global economic infrastructure that consumes natural resources at an alarming rate, architecture raises new and pressing questions with which educators, practitioners, and students must engage. Given that there is an infinitely ethical dimension to every aspect of architecture, the 106th ACSA Annual Meeting will seek to solicit wide reflection on the ethical challenges of architecture in a world in flux.
