The Winter School will bring together scholars and researchers to reflect on the concept and practices of "cut" considered as the boundary of the artistic gestures and the trajectories of sight, as a tool of symbolic narration, and as a connection between technique and aesthetics. It will adopt a variety of teaching format (Workshops, Panels, etc.) and it especially addresses junior researchers, from MA graduates to junior professors, coming from different fields (aesthetics, history and theory of the media, art history, history of photography, archaeology, management and legislation of cultural heritage).
