Digital media learning

The celebration of the First International Congress on Vulnerability and Digital Culture will take place in Madrid on October 18 and 19, 2018. The structure of developed nations today rests on a technological framework for which there is no turning back. In the blink of an eye, human life has become virtual, interactive, ubiquitous, hyper-connected, and hyper-textual. No area escapes the influence of digital communication networks and their liquid culture of visibility and instantaneousness, or in other words, of mere existence and the passage of time, the two elements that bring together relations between humans, and relationships to their surroundings.

We are a group of students of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) who organizes the first annual international students’ conference that will be held at JGU. The conference is open to all university students worldwide. We searched for a topic which resonates with all students, facilitates interdisciplinary discussions, and encompasses existential concerns, as well as current and future challenges. That’s why we decided on “Bounds of Humanity”. Are there bounds for humankind and humanity? What are the limits of responsibility? Can we overcome mental, political, and social boundaries?

“Creativity, Innovation, and Invention in Digital Technology” (CIIDT2018) is an international academic conference that will be held at Royale Chulan Penang, Malaysia between December 11-13, 2018. CIIDT2018 is organised by The Centre for Instructional Technology and Multimedia (CITM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia. It aims to provide opportunities for researchers, instructional designers, multimedia developers, educators, and policymakers to share their ideas and research findings in digital technology in the context of education.

Recharge your profession at the Future Present, the conference or educators at all levels, instructional designers, trainers, and technologists who believe that an imperative of future education is teaching digital literacies in the present. Both best practices and research are readily accepted.
