Post-translational modifications (PTMs) of proteins play an important role in cellular function. Life Sciences 2019 will bring together researchers from across disciplines to discuss significant challenges and gain new perspectives on the role of PTMs in physiological function and disease processes.
The programme includes keynote lectures by award-winning researchers, and symposia from experts on topics including PTMs in cardiac structure and function, regulation of neuronal synapses and stress responses, protein methylation and transglutaminase-mediated PTMs in health and disease, carbon monoxide modulation of ionic homeostasis, redox signalling, and non-enzymatic PTMs.
Co-organised by The Physiological Society, Biochemical Society and British Pharmacological Society.
