The interplay between cell signaling and intracellular trafficking is implicated in fundamental cellular processes including cell growth and motility, whereas aberrant membrane trafficking events and signaling pathways are frequently associated with malignant transformation and cancer. The aim of this scientific conference is to merge advanced topics in cancer cell signaling together with emerging research themes in lipid metabolism, intracellular organelles and membrane trafficking. We will discuss oncogenic pathways and signaling networks as therapeutic targets and highlight their regulation by endomembranes and trafficking events.

This conference is the second international meeting on DUBs and is unique in its focus on this class of enzymes. It will bring together researchers in this exciting field of research to discuss molecular mechanisms, cellular functions and physiological roles of DUBs. The recent development of highly specific inhibitors has led to a lot of interest in exploring these enzymes as therapeutic drug targets in a variety of disease settings ranging from infection and inflammation to cancer and neurodegeneration. Emerging new concepts in DUB regulation and translation will be a particular focus of this meeting.

This meeting gathers renowned experts who will highlight recent advances in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cAMP signalling in nano-scale compartments and how such local signalling regulates key cellular and physiological processes in the cardiovascular system. A further focus will be the relevance of cAMP signalling compartments as pharmacological targets for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Cutting-edge methodology such as the use of various high-resolution imaging techniques and advanced biosensors, animal models, and the current state of drug development, will be discussed.

The goal of this meeting is to bring biochemists, cell and systems biologists investigating redox-signalling mechanisms in a variety of systems, together with those working on the biological mechanisms underlying ageing and age-associated diseases. As such this meeting with provide an interdisciplinary forum for discussion of new approaches to the study of redox regulation, the mechanisms involved, and the role of redox dysregulation in health, ageing and disease.

This meeting focuses on the biology and signalling of the class I isoforms of PI3K, and the drugs that have been generated to interfere with their function in disease. After some challenging years in PI3K pathway drug development, good progress has recently been made, with 3 PI3K inhibitors now approved for oncology and several others in the registration pipeline. Basic science investigations continue to provide new insight into the clinical observations.
